Passion UA swept out of Roman Imperium Cup V by Gentle Mates
Passion UA were eliminated at Roman Imperium Cup V in the quarterfinals by Gentle Mates.
Passion managed to get out of the group thanks to a forfeit in the loser's match and a win in a rematch against Rebels in the decider.
Passion UA picked Overpass, which has become their main pick after Train was removed from the map pool. It was Gentle Mates who seized control of the map early on, though. Gentle Mates won seven rounds on the bounce after losing the pistol. They converted that advantage into a 9-3 lead at the half. Passion battled back in the second period, but it was too little too late as Gentle Mates took the map 13-10.
Gentle Mates chose Nuke, and it a similar story to the first map. The Spaniards took an 8-4 lead after their T side. PUA put up a good fight again in the second half, but their comeback fell short at 13-11.
Alejandro 'mopoz' Fernández-Quejo Cano registered a stellar 1.39 rating along with 35 frags in the series.
