BOSS with ben1337 go winless at Norwegian De_Airport Masters LAN days after cutting Fruitcupx

After day one of the event, BOSS are eliminated from the De_Airport Masters in 9th-12th place. The team were unable to get any traction against the European opposition, losing all four maps they played.

The small LAN is being played in Norway at the Thon Hotel Oslo Airport on February 20th and 21st. Fourteen teams are present, and $8,000 is on the line. Some notable teams at the event include Metizport, Sempe rFi, and the Ninjas in Pyjamas academy team. BOSS lost group stage Bo1s to Phantom and ReThink, but still progressed to the playoffs because their group was missing a team. In the round of twelve, they fell 0-2 to AaB, ending their run.

The tournament appearance comes several days after Gavin "Fruitcupx" Norman was cut due to poor performances and a tough transition to playing under Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz. As BOSS was already scheduled to play the LANs abroad, they are using current coach and former player Ben "ben1337" Smith as a stand-in.

This was the first of two Scandinavian LANs BOSS are attending this month in search of VRS points. While they didn't win any series, none of their matches were on HLTV as it was early in the tournament. This means their VRS rank is unaffected by the tournament result.

BOSS will now travel to Copenhagen for Parken Challenger Championship #1, which runs from February 22nd to 24th. Their opening match will be against 9INE on February 22nd at 07:00AM.
