ESL Challenger S51 Cup 1 reaches top 8

The first ESL Challenger Cup of Season 51 is getting down to the business end, with eight teams vying for a spot at the season's end North American Finals.

Tournament favorites M80 have matched through the upper bracket so far, not dropping a map to set up a match with Rave in the upper semifinals. Those two sides are joined in the upper semis by Voca and Marsborne on the other side of the bracket.

FlyQuest RED are still fighting in the lower bracket, with their next match coming against Outfit 49. Zomblers are facing InControl in the other lower-bracket match.

M80 2-0 LAG

M80 have been flexing their muscle early on in the ECL Cup. Their second match against LAG was a straightforward affair, as M80 took LAG's pick with a comfortable 13-4 win on Inferno. M80 replicated that result in the second map, taking their own map pick of Ancient 13-4.

Voca 2-0 Mythic

Voca had little trouble dispatching of Mythic in the upper quarterfinals as Shane "shane" Dressler had 46 kills to just 16 deaths in the 2-0 sweep. Voca's strong CT side propelled them to a 13-5 win on Mythic's Nuke pick. It was another fast start that gave Voca the momentum in the second map as they went one better than the first time around, winning Mirage 13-4.
