
Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series 6 Day #16 recap: LAG upset Wildcard to reach the final
The first semifinal of the Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series 6 came to a close last night with LAG taking down tournament favorites Wildcard 2-1. While Wildcard were dominant on the first map, LAG rebounded convincingly to pull off the upset.
The series began with a stellar 7-0 T-side start from Wildcard on their pick of Overpass. Though LAG got a couple rounds near the end, Wildcard still entered their CT-side up 10-2. They lost the second pistol, but Wildcard quickly recovered to take their pick 13-3.
LAG came into their Inferno pick looking much better, starting up 4-0. Wildcard hit back hard with seven of the last eight rounds of the half, putting LAG down 5-7 going into their CT-side. Wildcard took the second pistol, but LAG went on a strong 8-3 run to close out their pick with a tight 13-11 score, forcing a decider.
LAG came into the Dust2 decider with confidence, starting up 8-2 on their T-side. Though Wildcard got the last two rounds of the half to close the gap slightly, LAG still had an 8-4 advantage. After taking the pistol, LAG quickly closed the map 13-5, winning the series 2-1.
Though they lost the series, Wildcard's Jadan "HexT" Postma was by far the deadliest player on the server. He ended the series with 50 kills, four clutches, and a round swing of +9.12%.
The second semifinal between Outfit 49 and FarmVille is set to start tonight at 08:00PM
