EliGE receives VAC cooldown while playing Premier
Last night Liquid star Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski settled in for a low-stakes night of pugging Counter-Strike 2 with Mounira "GooseBreeder" Dobie and James "JamezIRL" Macaulay while testing out a new mouse, however the trio's fun was quickly cut short as VACNet handed EliGE and his whole party 20-hour cooldowns due to "irregular gameplay".
According to EliGE, the cooldown was triggered because of his play, with VACNet seemingly detecting something unusual with his play. Due to the cooldown, EliGE and his party were unable to Counter-Strike 2 for the rest of the night, even on FACEIT, and had to essentially down tools until the cooldown cleared.
Now before anyone from /r/VACSucks gets their hands on this, EliGE is very clearly not cheating and the Valve Anti-Cheat is known for occasionally throwing false positives for exceptional play. Perhaps it makes sense that one of the best players in the world has play that Valve's tools find irregular, however it is certainly funny that a player Valve has honored with dozens of in-game items is suspicious to their own internal AC tool.
Unless... were BLAST on to something?
