Voca sweep SkinRave, set up finals showdown with BOSS in Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series #5
Voca and SkinRave faced off in the second semi-final of the fifth edition of the Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series last night.
SkinRave were keeping the match close in both maps, but couldn't find a way to win either in the end, losing 2-0 and taking 3rd-4th place in Eagle Masters Series #5.
SkinRave's map choice was Overpass, where they started well on their T side. SkinRave were up 7-5 and looking to convert that advantage on their CT side. Voca, however, came back with a fury, winning eight of ten rounds to secure the map victory 13-7.
Voca's Dust2 pick was the second map, and neither team could take a secure lead in the first half as SkinRave went up 7-5 once again. The second half was much of the same, with both teams jockeying for control and SkinRave winning three of the final four rounds to secure overtime. Voca put the game out of SkinRave's reach in the overtime period, winning four rounds and conceding none to secure the 2-0 sweep with a 16-12 win on Dust2.
Gage "Infinite" Green, Shane "shane" Dressler, and Carson "nosraC" O'Reilly all dropped 40 frags in the two-map series to guide Voca to the win.
