gla1ve departs ENCE ahead of reported move to coach 100 Thieves
We're one step closer to the beginning of the reported coaching career of arguably the most accomplished in-game leader of all-time. Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander has departed ENCE after spending two years with the Finnish organization.
gla1ve, who IGL'd Astralis during their three-year dynasty period between 2017 and the end of 2019, is reportedly on his way to become the coach for 100 Thieves' new project. This past November, gla1ve announced his retirement from playing and his decision to pursue coaching, telling HLTV that he had "always known" he'd become a coach after playing.
It appears that his first coaching gig will feature both familiar faces and some unique challenges. HLTV reported earlier this month that gla1ve will take on the head coach role for 100 Thieves. 100T's first official signee is veteran Håvard "rain" Nygaard, who is showing interest in the IGL role. gla1ve's former Astralis teammate Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz is also reportedly joining the new 100T roster.
While the rest of the roster is still undetermined, there's a championship pedigree to this roster, between four-time Major-winning duo gla1ve and dev1ce, as well as the accomplished veteran and former Major winner rain. But with rain and gla1ve taking on new roles, success may not happen instantly.
Here's the current reported 100 Thieves roster:
-
Håvard "rain" Nygaard -
Nicolai "device" Reedtz -
Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander (Coach)
