A great showing from Fawx wasn't enough to take down MIBR fe

Sakura fall to MIBR fe in Stockholm, BIG EQUIPA win final season of ESL Impact League

A top four finish for NA marks the end of the ESL Impact circuit.

Yesterday saw Sakura exit the ESL Impact League Season 8 playoffs at the hands of MIBR fe, with the 2-0 loss denying the Impact squad a chance to return to the finals after making it in Season 7. Sakura's exit and BIG EQUIPA's eventual win, the ESL impact League has come to a close, as ESL's have discontinued their women's tournament circuit.

The semifinals series between Sakura and MIBR fe was a somewhat one-sided affair despite strong performances from Lydia "Fawx" Dalton and Lucy "emptahy" Verkaik, with Sakura trailing for the entirety of Nuke before conceding the map 13-7. Then on Ancient, Sakura claimed their opening CT-side pistol and at one point led 9-7, however it wasn't enough to keep MIBR fe at bay and force with the series to Dust2, ultimately seeing Sakura drop the series 2-0.
