FlyQuest RED knocked out at ESL Impact League Season 8 Finals
Earlier today, FlyQuest RED faced elimination from the ESL Impact League Season 8 Finals at the hands of BIG EQUIPA, seeing the squad miss out on ESL Impact League playoffs for the fifth season in the row, with the loss stinging even more as it came during the final season of the Impact League.
The loss was a fairly one-sided affair against the European BIG EQUIPA squad, with FlyQuest RED failing to mount double digits on either map in the series. Starting on FQ RED's map pick of Inferno, the NA squad spent the entire map trailing as BIG EQUIPA won their T-side 8-4 before taking the 13-5 after a clean CT-side.
Moving onto Dust2, BIG EQUIPA started their CT-side up 4-0, however FQ RED managed to eke out a competitive half thanks to a leading effort from Vivienne "BiBiAhn" Quach, tying things up 6-6 at the half. Unfortunately the wheels largely fell off the wagon in the second half as BIG EQUIPA mounted a near-perfect T-side to quickly take Dust2 13-7.
