SkinRave secure back-to-back ESL Challenger Cup wins

SkinRave have earned themselves an advantage at the ECL Finals.

SkinRave v. Marsborne was the matchup that rounded out the ESL Challenger S50 Cup 4 tournament. Marsborne came off of a win v. Voca win the lower bracket, while SkinRave was the team that sent Voca there from the upper final.

SkinRave conquered over Marsborne in a 2-0 sweep. With their win in ECL Cup 3, they will now qualify straight to the grand final at the ECL Finals.

Marsborne elected to begin the series on Inferno and got off to an electric start. Marsborne held a 3-2 lead before taking the final seven rounds of the first half to take a dominating 10-2 advantage. The second-half pistol gave Marsborne an 11-2 lead, but SkinRave mounted a furious comeback from there. They went on to win eleven rounds in a row to steal Marsborne's map pick and go 1-0 up in the series.

The first map had a clear effect on Marsborne as action transitioned to the second. SkinRave's choice in the series was Overpass. SkinRave took an 8-4 lead at the half, and converted the second half with ease, winning the map 13-4 and sweeping the series 2-0.

Colby "Walco" Walsh was on fire in the match, dropping 37 frags and a 1.58 rating.

SkinRave had already earned their spot in the ECL S50 NA Finals thanks to their win in ECL Cup 3. They will automatically be placed in the grand finals of what would have been a four-team tournament had four different teams won each cup.
