autimatic reveals n0thing helped him fall in love with golf

He's 100% committed to golf at the moment.

If you ever wondered what Timothy "autimatic" Ta is doing nowadays, the answer is pretty simple: playing a lot of golf. And, it turns out that Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert was the one who hooked autimatic into it, he told golf website MyGolfSpy.

The ELEAGUE Boston Major 2018 champion hasn't streamed or posted a CS video in the past six months, but he's regularly playing golf and posting content about it on a dedicated Instagram account.

According to autimatic, n0thing tried to convince him to try golf for years, but he didn't give it a shot until he and n0thing shared an Uber ride with a golf aficionado where a discussion of golf's depth convinced him to keep playing.

[n0thing and the driver] were talking about how complex it is, how hard it is, basically all the reasons why you would love golf. I was like, 'OK, I need to give this a try."

That level of nuance is really interesting to me. It was something that I loved about Counter Strike. In golf, it’s only you out there…you dictate everything about your game. That’s what I think golf has brought back in me—that sense of trust within myself.

autimatic told MyGolfSpy that he always believed that if someone practiced as much as him, they could be a pro in CS as well and that mentality is what makes him want to grind and prove himself in golf, too.

The former Cloud9 and Evil Geniuses star is practicing golf every day, taking classes, and is rapidly witnessing good results.

The goal for me is to become a scratch golfer. That's step one. Every day, I might have a focus. But I’ll try to touch on everything and make sure that everything stays maintained.

I can carry it pretty far for my handicap, and I hit it relatively straight.

I ask everyone I play with a ton of questions. I just try to see whose advice actually works for me.

In the future, autimatic wants to play a tournament, but for now, he's focusing on improving his golf technique. It doesn't seem like he'll come back to creating content around CS anytime soon.
