GamerLegion CEO denies selling players to 100 Thieves: "There is no active discussion"
Nicolas "L3gi" Reber, GamerLegion's founder and CEO, revealed on November 1st that GamerLegion isn't selling players to 100 Thieves.
100 Thieves already signed Håvard "rain" Nygaard, according to Dust2.dk, and Aleksei "OverDrive" Birukov wrote on his Telegram that their priority was to sign a core from GamerLegion.
L3gi did mention that GamerLegion and 100 Thieves had a chat, but that's it.
"We had a chat with 100T a few weeks ago about their intention to come back to CS, but there is no active discussion about selling any players or cores," he wrote on X ahead of GamerLegion's third-place decider match at PGL Bucharest Masters 2025.
"We focus on the team we have right now."
GamerLegion has sold important players in the past, most notably Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski to G2 and Timur "FL4MUS" Maryev to Virtus.pro, but apparently the organization wants to retain its core for the time being.
That's probably a smart move, considering how the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) work and the fact that Erik "ztr" Gustafsson and co. are currently 18th in the global VRS.
OverDrive also mentioned that rain will play for 100 Thieves only if the North American organization signs a "strong core." With GamerLegion's core seemingly being out of the cards, 100 Thieves will have to move for other players.
