Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series #4 Day 9 recap: InControl eliminate Phoenix

The ninth day of the Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series #4 powered by INUI concluded last night, with InControl eliminating Phoenix in a hard-fought 2-1 series.

While Phoenix are out of the tournament with a 1-3 record, InControl will have a do-or-die 2-2 match to determine whether or not they will make the playoffs.

InControl picked Nuke to start the series, with Phoenix holding onto a slim 7-5 lead at halftime on the favored CT side. Phoenix rallied on their attack side with four rounds in a row to secure the map win and steal InControl's choice, winning 13-11.

Phoenix then looked to close the series on their choice of Train, but the sides couldn't be separated at the half, leaving the score at 6-6. InControl took a page from Phoenix's playbook, winning the last three rounds of the map to steal the 13-11 victory.

Mirage followed the same script as the first two maps, with neither side able to secure a lead at halftime or the end of regulation. Both teams went back and forth in the first overtime, but it was InControl who won two rounds in each half in double OT to emerge victorious.
