FACEIT announces major anti-cheat update
FACEIT has revealed details of its new anti-cheat rollout on November 25th, 2025. The update will require the use of secure boot and TPM 2.0, which won't affect many players, as 95% already use these features.
Beginning on October 14th, 2026, Windows 10 will no longer be supported on FACEIT. This coincides with Microsoft ending security updates for Windows 10 on October 13th of next year, making it easier for cheat developers to abuse the operating system.
Players will also be required to enable IOMMU and VBS. IOMMU "acts as a hardware-level firewall for RAM" to prevent DMA-card cheats and is paired with VBS to ensure enforcement. This feature's rollout began in April and has been required for players with an ELO above 3,000 since August. This update will start rolling out in November to more users in waves, helping FACEIT address players' issues as they crop up.
Users who would be affected by these changes will receive a notification from FACEIT to update their computer settings before the updates are put in place.
FACEIT has also put out a guide for users who may not be sure what, if any, changes they need to make to continue to play on FACEIT after the anti-cheat updates are officially rolled out.
