New NA FACEIT star invited to HQ to beat cheating allegations

The start of a new career?

nocries, a relatively unknown talent who's quickly risen to the top of the NA FACEIT rankings, has been invited to compete "under supervision" at FACEIT HQ in an attempt to beat recent cheating allegations.

Since the start of 2025, nocries has rapidly increased his ELO rating in a matter of months. He's played 491 matches of FACEIT this year, almost entirely in the NA 5v5 queue. Across those matches he's averaged a 1.51 KD and a 104.1 ADR, and his ELO rating has increased by 1796 points, according to FACEIT Tracker.

Over the past month or so, nocries has drawn lots of attention from the community, with many speculating that he is cheating. He has been the subject of several videos on YouTube, even drawing the attention of some of the biggest creators such as ohnepixel and FURIOUSSS.

Enter FACEIT, who are hosting nocries, or Maidar, today at their headquarters in New York City. He will play "under supervision" on hardware set up by their anti-cheat team, getting "a chance to show his game in a fully controlled environment."

For nocries, this represents a major opportunity to dispel any cheating allegations if he aspires to go pro. He could very well follow in the footsteps of Major winner Robin "ropz" Kool, who himself played in the FACEIT HQ in London to dispel cheating allegations. He would go on to sign with MOUZ, and the rest is history.
