The tournament will begin with two groups of three teams each, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semifinals. The group stage will see the teams play best-of-one series, while the playoff matches are all best-of-three.
Lacey Cup will not be a VRS-enabled event, unlike Generation NSTLGA's previous tournament. The tournament organizer explained why:
Our last event got HLTV tier 2 ranked status, however, VRS coverage is something that is determined by the number of VRS teams in attendance, which we sadly didn't have.
Due to the size of the Lacey Cup, we're not pursuing HLTV coverage. However, for future larger events, we will absolutely be trying towards VRS-ranked status.
Lacey Cup will run on September 27th at the Contender Esports Gaming Center in Lacey. The organizers plan to organize this cup once every two months.
The tickets for Lacey Cup will go on sale this Friday, September 12th, and a team pass costs $300.
Interested teams can buy their ticket on Generation NSTLGA's website.
