NRG and BLUEJAYS reach ECL S50 Cup #1 Finals after M80 forfeit remaining matches

Last night BLUEJAYS secured a spot in the grand finals of the first ESL Challenger League Season 50 Cup without even connecting to the server thanks to forfeiting their matches in the upper and lower bracket. The top NA team withdrew from the remainder of the cup in order to prioritize the BLAST Open Fall 2025 Closed Qualifier while also avoiding the prospect of having to play ECL in the middle of the night from Europe.

While this outcome is ultimately unfortunate for M80 and their fans, it has certainly benefitted NRG and BLUEJAYS as the two teams picked up wins and valuable VRS points from M80's forfeit losses while locking in spots in the grand finals of the $17,500 event.

The grand finals are set to take place tonight at 09:00PM, with the winner taking home $8,000 and one of four spots in the Regional ESL Pro League Season 23 qualifier.
