Hero tactical shooter Fragpunk shamelessly copies Inferno in newest map
Fragpunk, a new first-person hero tactical shooter from Bad Guitar Studio, released a new map called Toyland this past week with almost the exact same layout as Inferno.
CS2 data miner Gabe Follower posted a clip of themselves running through the new map in Fragpunk, and the layout of Toyland is almost an exact copy of Inferno layout-wise.
Both of the site layouts are exactly the same, and Toyland features all of the iconic aspects of Inferno, from the Underpass/Mexico tunnel in Mid to the Apartments outside of A. But Toyland lacks of any of the detail and charm and detail that's in Inferno, with all the geometry and landmarks consisting of children's playground shapes in different pastel colors.
Fragpunk released in early access in 2024 and fully released this past March. In addition to its unique characters and hero abilities, it's gameplay features a "shard card" system that allows for different effects and buffs to take place each round. The game peaked at over 100,000 players after releasing in March, but has averaged less than 5,000 on Steam since July.
