Breaking: M80 part ways with HexT in shock start to off-season
In a shock roster move to start the off-season, M80 have parted ways with Jadan "HexT" Postma following the expiration of the player's contract. The departure of HexT follows the team's exit from the StarLadder Budapest Major last week, which saw the team narrowly miss out on Stage Three after a close Round Five loss to Passion UA.
HexT joined M80 in early July as a replacement for Ethan "reck" Serrano, joining M80 following his ouster on NRG in favor of Carson "nosraC" O'Reilly. During his tenure with M80, HexT maintained a 1.16 rating over 122 maps with the team seeing decent results at home and abroad.
The team notably claimed a spot in BLAST Open Fall 2025 after besting VP, NAVI, and Fnatic in the online stage before falling to MOUZ on LAN in the main event. At home, the team easily topped DreamHack Knockout Atlanta 2025 over BIG while at FRAG events they conceded two finals to KOLESIE and NRG.
In confirming his departure, HexT admitted he was surprised by his sudden removal from the team following the expiration of contract, while stating he enjoyed his time with his now former teammates.
M80 are now:
-
Michael "Swisher" Schmid -
Fritz "slaxz-" Dietrich -
Elias "s1n" Stein -
Mason "Lake" Sanderson -
Rory "dephh" Jackson (Coach)
M80 will need to secure a new fifth in short order as they have a picked start to the new year, with the team attending FRAG Miami 2 on January 2nd and fl0m's Mythical LAN on January 9th.
