Media: Sonic to be replaced by F1KU in Wildcard
Wildcard is set to replace Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek with benched OG player Maciej "F1KU" Miklas, according to a report made by the self-proclaimed esports insider Vladislav "Gromov" Gromov.
This comes as little surprise, as Dust2.us previously reported that Sonic was on the way out before the Austin Major. He was rumored to be making way for Jaxon "Peeping" Cornwell in a post-Major roster move.
Peeping has joined the roster, but it was after the departure of Love "phzy" Smidebrant and the original benching of Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz. Sonic was kept on to retain Wildcard's core, but now he appears to be on the way out.
Gromov didn't say whether Sonic will be benched or released, though.
F1KU was active on OG from May 2022 until he was benched in July of this year. The Polish player averaged a 1.02 rating over his entire time on OG, with his best year coming in the first half of 2025, as he's posted a 1.07 this year so far.
With the rumored roster move, Wildcard's active lineup would look like this:
-
Josh "JBa" Barutt -
Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz -
Jaxon "Peeping" Cornwell -
Sebastian "fr3nd" Kuśmierz -
Maciej "F1KU" Miklas -
Vincent "vinS" Jozefiak (Coach)
