YaLLa allegedly owes money to players and talent

Media: YaLLa Esports file for bankruptcy

The Emirati tournament organizer has shut down abruptly.

YaLLa Esports has filed for bankruptcy, sources told our parental website HLTV.org this Wednesday, August 6th. This report comes on the same day that YaLLa announced that the "YaLLa Compass journey has come to an end."

YaLLa most notably organized a $400,000 LAN tournament in 2024 in Abu Dhabi, which The MongolZ won.

Although the news comes as a shock, as YaLLa was set to run a LAN tournament in Dubai, UAE, at their headquarters in November, it seems that the tournament organizer allegedly owed money to multiple players and talent members.

Romanian pro Alexandru "sound" Ștefan, who plays for Nexus, was one of the first people to call out YaLLa for not paying up. Bulgarian caster and analyst Teodor "Tedd" Borisov also said he was one of "a lot of people" who were affected by YaLLa.

HLTV's Lead Reporter Luís "MIRAA" Mira is working on a story about what happened to YaLLa. He encourages anyone who has been affected to reach out via DMs on X.
