Liquid fall flat against MOUZ in 2-0 loss
Earlier today Liquid faced off against MOUZ in their opening series in Stage Two of IEM Cologne 2025. The bout saw MOUZ take down Liquid once again, with the European squad securing their fourth over Liquid in a row and the third such since Liquid grabbed Polish IGL Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek from MOUZ's bench.
The series kicked off on Liquid's map pick of Inferno with MOUZ securing a dominant 8-0 lead on their CT-side before closing out the half up 10-2. After switching sides Liquid attempted to make some inroads to even things up by winning five out of the six rounds on their own CT-side. However, MOUZ's lead was too vast to surpass as they went out to close out Inferno 13-7.
Moving onto Train, MOUZ began in the lead once again with a 4-0 lead on their T-side that was slowly evened up by Liquid to end the half with a 6-6 tie. Moving into the second half Liquid won the first three rounds in a row on their own T-side to claim the lead before utterly collapsing against MOUZ's defense as the latter team went on to win the next seven rounds in a row to take Train 13-9.
The series was overall a poor individual showing for siuhy as the IGL ended the series with a 0.63 HLTV rating, 0.47 KPR, and 58.6 ADR while many of his teammates also struggled on the server as seen below.
Liquid will face off against FaZe tomorrow at 10:00AM as the team fights for survival at IEM Cologne 2025.
