mithR on Complexity: "I wish I had more time to help the team"
Complexity's rough run in IEM Cologne 2025 marked the end of the collaboration between the team and their temporary head coach Torbjørn "mithR" Nyborg. With mithR, they made top eight in FISSURE Playground 1 and lost back-to-back matches in IEM Cologne Stage One.
After the elimination at the hands of TYLOO, mithR talked about his short stint with Complexity in an interview with Dust2.dk's reporter Emil "mad0" Funke.
It's disappointing, of course, but there's only so much you can do in such a short time. I wish I had more time to help the team or time to reflect on what we could have done.
Two or three more days of practice, and then I think we would have turned this to our advantage. I'm not with Complexity anymore, so it's kind of about making the most of it. Empty feeling. I feel like we lose due to a lack of experience in the end, where we just get too stiff when the match gets too close.
I think we have some pretty important rounds where we lose too many entries first. We've also been working on how to fight back from a 4v5. It works for the most part, but when you have to make a decision, you get scared of making the wrong decision. I think that this leads to too much hesitation, and you can just see that the team lacks a bit more experience than what is there right now.
As for his future, mithR told Dust2.dk that he doesn't know what's next, but he does hope that teams get in touch.
This stand-in period with Complexity was mithR's first job ever since Liquid released him in March.
It's unclear who Complexity will pick up now that their agreement with mithR is over. The North American team has been on the lookout for a new skipper since parting ways with Tiaan "Tc" Coertzen in March.
