Global Domination Entertainment cancels first Outbreak event, citing scheduling conflicts

Yesterday Ultimate Gaming Championships (UGC) CEO Matthew Jackson announced on the Global Domination: Invasion Discord that the tournament organizer's first online event, Outbreak 1, had been canceled due to scheduling conflicts with other events and issues trying to "schedule the broadcast."

The Outbreak 1 event was set to serve as Ultimate Gaming Championships' debut into the Counter-Strike 2 scene after indefinitely postponing their $1,000,000 Oklahoma City LAN tournament last month due to concerns regarding the feasibility and scheduling of such a large event.

The Global Domination: Invasion Outbreak 1 tournament was set to run this weekend from July 24th to July 27th and boasted 14 teams at the time of cancellation. The event would have run during an incredibly busy weekend that was also set to feature the Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series 3 Open Qualifier 3, the NA Revival Series #7, and the BLAST Rising Fall 2025 North American Open Qualifier.

As such, the event would have likely struggled to retain teams especially as it was seemingly set to be held on a proprietary platform. However, the last-minute cancellation is likely not the best look for a TO that now has had two events cancelled in a row.

It is currently unknown if UGC intends on scheduling a makeup event as an official statement has not been released at the time of publication.
