Global Domination shelve $1,000,000 event; set to focus on "smaller scale" tournaments
Global Domination Entertainment have announced that their $1,000,000 tournament set to take place in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma has been indefinitely postponed less than a month after being announced on May 14th.
The decision to shelve the massive after concerns were raised that GDE's plans were unrealistic and logistically impossible as the $1,300,000 tournament series was supposedly set to run its first qualifiers on June 17th — less than two months after the event was first announced.

Questions from pundits as well as Dust2.us' own interview with GDE CEO Matthew Jackson revealed that the TO had not considered nor locked down a number of fundamental details about the event including the format, venue layout, qualifier details, partner TOs, visas, and a plethora of other issues.
With this in mind, it is probably for the best that GDE have announced plans to try and run smaller events first to build up community trust, experience, and to ready their team for a larger event in future. In line with that, GDE have announced a partnership with Fragadelphia to guide their future efforts in the NA space, which is likely well advised as they aim to build a circuit people can trust.
