FaZe reinstate broky to the active roster, putting s1mple's rumors to bed
Helvijs "broky" Saukants is back on FaZe's lineup, the organization announced this Wednesday, July 9th. The Latvian spent the last two months on the bench and saw FaZe play at the BLAST.tv Austin Major with Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyljev.
However, as much as some fans wanted s1mple to stay permanently on FaZe, this isn't happening, as the organization opted to give broky another opportunity.
The common understanding is that s1mple's buyout is still remarkably high, as the Ukrainian mentioned on X last month that he's in contract "jail."
After FaZe announced broky's return, Finn "karrigan" Andersen wrote on X that he believes that the Latvian will go back to his prime form.
"He is looking good and I hope this break did him good. I believe and trust in him to find his form again, we know how good he is. Breaks are needed sometimes, and broky is part of the FaZe family. It’s not easy and it will never be, but we have work in front of us," karrigan wrote.
FaZe's first tournament in this upcoming season is IEM Cologne 2025 Stage One, which will run from July 23rd to 25th.
