Official: NRG move oSee to the bench, transfer HexT to M80
As first reported by Dust2.us, NRG have announced that Josh "oSee" Ohm has been moved to the bench and the transfer of Jadan "HexT" Postma to M80, seeing the team complete the first part of their roster shuffle to make room for the incoming additions of Carson "nosraC" O'Reilly and Zack "XotiC" Elshani.
The changes in NRG's ranks come after an unremarkable season for NRG that was capped off by a 2-3 exit from Stage One of the BLAST.tv Austin Major. The team are prepared to make a major pivot and gamble on journeyman rifler nosraC and the untested AWPer XotiC as the organization aims to break away from a packed field of tier-three NA teams in 2025 that dominate domestically but fall flat internationally.
The departures of oSee and HexT from NRG's starting lineup leaves the organization with no remaining players from their return to Counter-Strike in November 2023 — although former IGL Damian "daps" Steele remains with the team as their head coach.
For the moment, NRG currently consist of:
-
Jeorge "Jeorge" Endicott
-
Nick "nitr0" Cannella
-
Alexander "br0" Bro
-
Damian "daps" Steele (Coach)
-
Josh "oSee" Ohm (Inactive)
NRG are expected to announce to announce XotiC and nosraC in short order ahead of the start of Fragadelphia 19 on July 17th.
