Complexity will get to play with hallzerk again

Complexity and Wildcard's opening matches at FISSURE Playground 1 drawn

NA will debut against Europe.

Complexity and Wildcard will debut against BetBoom and GamerLegion, respectively, at FISSURE Playground 1.

FISSURE announced the open matchups along with the groups yesterday, July 6th. The $1 million tournament in Belgrade, Serbia is set to run from July 15th to 20th.

FISSURE Playground 1 presents a good opportunity for Complexity and Wildcard to gain precious Valve Regional Standings (VRS) points, as most of the tier-one teams are skipping the event due to the summer break. For example, FURIA are the only top 10 team attending.

VRS points are more important than ever moving forward, as Valve extinguished the Major Regional Qualifiers (MRQs) for the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 and onwards.

FISSURE Playground 1 will start with a double-elimination format group stage and four groups of four teams each. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the playoffs, which will be a single-elimination bracket.

Wildcard play GamerLegion on July 15 at 09:00AM. This will be Wildcard's first match without Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz and Love "phzy" Smidebrant, and with the new additions Jaxon "Peeping" Cornwell and Sebastian "fr3nd" Kuśmierz.

Complexity, on the other hand, will face BetBoom later that day at 03:00PM. Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli will be back in the starting lineup after missing the BLAST.tv Austin Major due to visa issues.
