
Lotus wins first Brace for Impact NA Cash Cup
The first edition of the Brace for Impact NA Cash Cup concluded at the end of June, with seven teams taking part.
Lotus received a bye in the quarterfinals, then defeated lumen and puppygirls 2-0 in the semifinals and final, respectively.
Caster Scott "Parks" Park organized and announced the event on June 22nd. The community-sponsored tournaments will run monthly, with the first tournament having a total prize pool of $200.
As the winners of the tournament, Lotus took home $150, while the rest went to runners-up puppygirls.
Lotus won a thriller in the final, despite it being a 2-0. puppygirls had a 7-5 first half lead on the first map of Dust2, but Lotus answered back with a 7-5 half of their own. It took two overtime periods, but Lotus won the first map 19-16. The second map was almost as close, with puppygirls taking another 7-5 lead into the interval. This time, Lotus did one better, winning the second half 8-4 and the map 13-11.
infave stood out for Lotus in the final, picking up 37 frags in the first map and 20 frags to lead her team to victory in the second map.
