Official: Zinchenko exits Passion UA, raising further questions about org’s future
Today Passion UA announced that founder and former owner Oleksandr Zinchenko has exited the Ukrainian organization, parting ways with the organization he founded in August 2023. The AFC Ajax footballer's exit from Passion UA comes after Zinchenko gave up effective ownership to CEO Artemijs Rjabovs in May 2025 per a UK Companies House notice.
The announcement and an accompanying video on Twitch by Zinchenko provided few details on why the footballer is leaving the project beyond it being the "right moment" for him to do so.
However, the move comes at an exceptionally tumultuous time for Passion UA, with their whole roster reportedly up for sale, their purchase of Santino "try" Rigal being terminated, and Johnny "JT" Theodosiou reportedly on the move to Liquid.
This would leave Passion UA with just Vladyslav "Kvem" Korol, Nicholas "nicx" Lee, and Viktor "sdy" Orudzhev, requiring the team to find a new AWPer and IGL should they wish to keep their current lineup, which is currently ranked 75th in the world per the Valve Regional Standings (VRS).
