Liquid among top-ranked teams invited to Esports World Cup 2025

16 teams will travel to Riyadh for a massive prize pool.

The teams participating at the Esports World Cup 2025's CS2 tournament have been confirmed, following the June update to the Valve Regional Standings' global rankings.

All 15 teams invited to the event have confirmed their attendance for the tournament taking place August 20 to 24th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. A 16th team, TYLOO, qualified for the event by winning the Hero Esports Asian Champions League.

The 16 teams will be competing in a single-elimination bracket for a $1.25 million prize pool, equaling the prize pools for PGL Bucharest, the BLAST.tv Austin Major and the StarLadder Budapest Major. The tournament itself is part of the EWC's Club Championship competition, which awards an additional $27 million to the organizations that perform the best overall across 24 different titles.

Liquid was not invited to EWC last year, as Complexity had the higher ranking amongst NA teams, while M80 qualified via the NA qualifier. Liquid as an organization still finished second in the Club Championship behind Falcons, taking home a staggering $4 million prize.
