B8 reverse sweep Wildcard to advance to BLAST.tv Austin Major Stage 2
B8 have locked in their spot in the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 following a 2-1 victory over Wildcard. The Ukrainians started the series behind after a hard-fought game on Train, but kept their cool and reverse-swept Wildcard.

Train:
Wildcard 16-14 B8
In a match plagued with tech issues, Wildcard started the series off strong as they managed to scrape a victory on their map pick after forcing overtime.
Wildcard had to be resilient once again in overtime as they were 2-1 down, but pulled off three perfect T-side rounds to run away with the game.
Tim "susp" Ångström was the difference-maker, having top fragged for Wildcard with 26 kills, and finished the game with the highest ADR (99.8) and rating (1.50).
Dust2:
B8 13-6 Wildcard
B8 seemingly reset well after letting Train escape from their hands as they outplayed Wildcard with some good plays on T-side in the first half. Wildcard, though, stopped the bleeding once Love "phzy" Smidebrant finally bought an AWP and started getting kills. susp also secured an important round thanks to a spray transfer.
However, all Wildcard heroics in the first half were in vain as B8 pulled a nearly perfect CT side, conceding only one round in the second half. Daniil "headtr1ck" Valitov was the man of the hour on Dust2 as he topped the scoreboard with 25 kills.
Inferno:
B8 13-2 Wildcard
B8 kept Wildcard at bay at the start of Inferno, thanks to yet another impressive CT-side. The Ukrainians were 7-1 up at one point, which allowed them to build a strong economy for the rest of the half and afford all the utility they needed to turn Wildcard's life into a nightmare and secure a 10-2 advantage for the final half.
Unexpectedly, that first half pretty much killed Wildcard's chance to make things competitive, and to make matters worse, Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz couldn't defuse the bomb in time to win the second pistol. B8 just kept playing confidently and won Inferno without stress.
This time around, it was Alexey "alex666" Yarmoshchuk who topped the scoreboard as he dropped 18 kills.
Losing Inferno in this fashion might leave a sting on Wildcard as it's one of their best maps, according to Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek himself. They will, however, have to reset for tomorrow because they have two more chances to advance to Stage 2.
