HexT: "We scrim Complexity a lot and the majority of the time we are winning"
Earlier today NRG topped an NA derby versus Complexity 13-9 to climb up to a 2-1 record Stage One of the BLAST.tv Austin Major. A big part of the win over their domestic rivals was a great showing from Canadian rifler Jadan "HexT" Postma who has seemingly rebounded after a poor showing at IEM Dallas 2025.
Following the win, HexT spoke to Dust2.us' Jeffrey "Mnmzzz" Moore about the win, the team's outlook prior to the match versus COL, HexT's renewed form, and what he thinks of Stage One of the expanded 32-team Major.
The full interview can be found below on YouTube or in text form below. All questions and answers below have been slightly edited for length and clarity.

Great performance from you and a strong performance from NRG to take down Complexity. How are you feeling coming out of that matchup?
Pretty good, I had a really good game and everyone played their part. The win was expected because they have a stand-in and hallzerk is a big piece of the team.
Was the win expected? Is that only because of COL missing hallzerk or are there other reasons for the confidence?
We scrim Complexity a lot and it goes both ways sometimes but majority of the time we are winning [the scrims]. We're playing really well recently but hallzerk is a big piece of their team because he calls a lot of things mid round. junior is not really that player, nothing against him, that's just who he is.
I know because of hallzerk's big impact they are easier to play. Plus, it's on LAN and they have players who haven't played LAN in a while or are newer. They have less experience and probably more nerves on LAN as well so they'd be easier to play on LAN than online.
You played well here which is great to see after you struggled so much in Dallas. What do you think went wrong in Dallas?
Honestly we just played Aurora and Falcons off the rip so it was hard. If you don't hit your shots or you play a position it really hurts, but playing against Complexity if I have a bad position I just shoot my way out of it.
They're a really good team, but I yeah I just had a bad tournament, bad two games that's all it is really.
Do you think in the skill matchup between NRG and COL that NRG has more firepower right now?
I would say yeah when we're playing our A-game or even our B-game as well. We have really good firepower but nitr0 is also a really good caller so even if we're not shooting straight that day the calls will be good and it makes things a lot easier.
A lot of people say Stage One doesn't feel like the Major? What are your thoughts on that?
The only other Major I've been to was IEM Rio and that was the first time they've had a crowd for this stage so it was definitely a lot different. But [the reaction] is just because people aren't used to seeing these types of teams playing. Other tournaments are just tier-one only so you're used to seeing Falcons instantly or Aurora which is not the case here.
People need to lower their expectations for the tournament right and once Stage Two hits it's going to feel more like a Major.
NRG will aim to make Stage Two in a best-of-three matchup tomorrow with their opponent to be determined.
