PGL Belgrade 2025 moved to studio in Bucharest

PGL just announced that PGL Belgrade will no longer be going down in the Serbian capital. Instead it has been moved to the PGL studios in the TO's home of Bucharest, Romania. The event was scheduled to run in Belgrade from October 25th to November 2nd.

PGL cited "unforeseen logistical circumstances" that have made the move necessary. This isn't the first challenge that PGL has faced this year, after PGL was forced to move their Krakow event in 2027. ESL revealed later that they would be moving IEM Katowice to Krakow and they would be taking the venue that PGL planned on using.

PGL's CEO Silviu Stroie accused the main tournament organizers in the CS scene of making "concerted efforts" to stop PGL from running events.

However, It appears tennis is the culprit this time around as the ATP 250 Belgrade Open tennis tournament is set to partially overlap the dates that PGL were targeting for the Belgrade Arena.
