EliGE and s1mple to miss IEM Dallas 2025 playoffs as HEROIC knock out FaZe
FaZe failed to complete their lower bracket run at IEM Dallas 2025 and are out of the tournament. HEROIC prevailed in a hardfought series and have moved on to their final group B match against Aurora, which will decide who go to playoffs.
Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski was the final hope for NA fans attending the Dallas playoffs as the home teams, NRG and Liquid, were knocked out before. With EliGE also out of contention, the fans will have no NA players or teams to cheer for at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.
The series between FaZe and HEROIC required all three maps after they traded blows on Ancient and Anubis. And things were worrying for FaZe on the final map, Mirage, as HEROIC kept the momentum going from Anubis and won the first half by 8-4 on the T side.
But FaZe didn't give up and stepped their game on the T side.David " frozen " Čerňanský won a nearly impossible 1v4 at the end that gave FaZe two map points.
However, that didn't kill HEROIC's mental, and they managed to force overtime and beat FaZe in the extra rounds.
All that's left for FaZe now is to prepare for the BLAST.tv Austin Major in June. The team should reunite with Håvard "rain" Nygaard, as he was confirmed to attend the playoffs anyway.
