steel open to coach or stand in at the BLAST.tv Austin Major
Canadian in-game leader Josh "steel" Nissan has announced that he's willing to coach teams or even sub in at the BLAST.tv Austin Major in June.
steel is allowed to do so as his Valve ban for taking part in the infamous iBUYPOWER matchfixing scheme expired in January, allowing him to partake in Majors once again either as a player or broadcast talent member.
Your team is playing at the Major, but you don't have a coach or worried about a visa issue for a player?
I'd be down to coach and can sub in for an emergency.
Not sure how many teams this would apply to, so I'm just blasting it out to see what happens.
At a time when several organizations are susceptible to visa issues ahead of the Austin Major — even Complexity — steel's offer could be helpful as he has plenty of experience.
steel has been away from the servers since February, when he played for Marsborne at ESL Challenger League Season 49 North America. He spent more time working as an analyst for ESL at IEM Katowice, ESL Pro League Season 21, and IEM Melbourne.
The BLAST.tv Austin Major Stage 1 kicks off on June 3rd and the competition will finish on June 22th.
