
New smoke bug found in May 7th CS2 update
The May 7th "Mission Possible" update brought new maps to CS2, but it appears to have also introduced a couple of new smoke exploits affecting players with certain anti-aliasing settings.
regain player Eric "zucar" Zuccaro made a post last night regarding the issue, where enemies can be seen when a molotov is thrown behind a smoke, which illuminates the player model.
As the video shows, the muzzle flash is now easily seen behind the smoke. A smoke is thrown down at the E-Box position on Anubis. When the player in Canals starts shooting, the flash coming from his muzzle gives away his position.
A post further down in the thread mentions that you may need to have anti-aliasing set to off in order to see this bug, pointing to it potentially being an issue with how the game renders layers of effects with certain graphic settings.
