Wildcard take down 500 to stay alive in CCT Global Finals 2025
Wildcard have survived the first lower bracket round of CCT Global Finals 2025 as they defeated 500 by 2-0 this Friday, April 25th. They played much better than yesterday, when they suffered a heavy loss to BetBoom.
Even though Wildcard won Nuke, their map pick, it wasn't easy by any means. It was looking disastrous for them, actually, as 500 won the first half by 9-3 on the CT side.
Wildcard, however, pulled a better CT side of their own and narrowly secured the victory on Nuke. Love "phzy" Smidebrant led the charges on the CT side, finding 13 kills.
Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz and co. carried the momentum to Anubis and proceeded to dismantle 500's defense in the first half. They carried a 10-2 advantage to the CT side and managed to close it out immediately. phzy was once again Wildcard's best player and dropped 18 kills on Anubis.
Wildcard will now wait for the result of B8 vs. HEROIC to start preparing for the next round of the lower bracket. They can't afford to lose anymore in CCT Global Finals, as the tournament uses the double-elimination format.
