stanislaw posts career-worst performance in CCT Global Finals 2025 debut
BetBoom handled a tough loss to Wildcard this Thursday, April 24, in the CCT Global Finals 2025 opener. The Russian team swept Wildcard, winning Dust2 by 13-0 in the process.
It's the second time this year that Wildcard have suffered a 13-0 loss, having lost to Liquid in the same fashion in January at IEM Katowice. This time around, many fingers will be pointed at Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz as he got zero kills on Dust2, which netted him the worst rating (0.02) in his entire career.
Anubis:
BetBoom 13-10 Wildcard
Wildcard won the first half as they got seven rounds on the T-side, but that sometimes isn't enough in a T-sided map like Anubis. BetBoom recovered and won the map thanks to an even better T-side.
Aleksandr "zorte" Zagodyrenko was the difference-maker for BetBoom, having dropped 24 frags in the map while only dying twelve times.
Dust2:
BetBoom 13-0 Wildcard
To make things worse, it was Wildcard who picked Dust2. They couldn't get the ball rolling on T-side and saw BetBoom win twelve rounds straight off the back of another impressive performance from zorte. Meanwhile, Love "phzy" Smidebrant also had the worst performance of his career as he got only one kill, finishing with a 0.07 rating.
If we count the result on Anubis, BetBoom won 17 rounds in a row against Wildcard in the series, just like Liquid earlier this year.
Wildcard will play again this Friday, April 25th, at 07:00AM. They'll face the loser of Imperial vs. 500 in the first round of the lower bracket.
