both individuals are in hot water after kassad's X post last night

kassad claims jkaem owes €300,000 to various people... while leaking his passport in the process

Two separate and serious issues have arisen from a single X post.

Back in March, Norwegian player Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad was accused by a CS2 skins trader/lender known as Magnus "erlsan" of borrowing over $10,000 worth of in-game skins and then gambling them away without permission. This serious accusation was followed up by a flurry of additional allegations against jkaem, with others in the skins community claiming the current BC.Game player had defrauded them as well.

In light of these mounting allegations, jkaem admitted to gambling away the skins while admitting to an "extreme gambling addiction" and that he was working to pay everyone back with the support of BC.Game.

This marked the end of the saga until last night when Serbian coach and pundit Aleksandar "kassad" Trifunović leveling an explosive claim that jkaem owes a staggering €300,000 to various community members in a now-deleted X post.

In the now-deleted posts, kassad claims that he lent jkaem €50,000, with the contract requiring jkaem to repay kassad by January 31st, 2025 — something that evidently did not happen. Additionally, kassad claims that jkaem owed money to Owen "smooya" Butterfield and "scammed" skins from Swedish pro Hampus "hampus" Poser.

While Dust2.us has taken care to remove Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from our screenshots, this was not the case in kassad's original X post. Along with leaking his email and jkaem's email, kassad also published a scan of jkaem's passport on page four of the contract.

This failure to censor jkaem's passport seemingly revealed the player's hometown and passport number along with other personally identifiable information, which is somewhat ironic as kassad claimed to hide the two parties' addresses for "safety reasons".

This evident lapse in judgment quickly led to many in the community calling out the breach of jkaem's privacy, which was led by a somewhat fumbling attempt by kassad to edit the X post (which does not remove the original post) before deleting the post outright and putting up a new version without the private information.

However, as the saying goes, once something is on the internet it is there forever, with it being very likely many saved the images in the brief time they were available. This whole saga constitutes a serious, and possibly illegal, privacy breach — something kassad admitted in another now-deleted X post.

With mounting pressure from the community and a moment of clarity from kassad, he made a final post stating his intentions to settle matters with jkaem privately moving forward. However, with the saga reaching its conclusion it still leaves the matter of jkaem's massive debt lingering, with the amount far in excess of what jkaem addressed last month.

For a professional player to hold that much debt, especially from gambling as jakem admitted, is a massive integrity risk that calls the Norwegian veteran's place in the scene in question. With jkaem allegedly in debt to a number of parties, his efforts to settle that debt may lead him to violate competitive integrity in a number of ways, including matchfixing, in an effort to pay off said debts.

While BC.Game previously said they stood by jkaem and that his place within the team, the potential conflicts of interest between jkaem the pro player and jkaem the heavily indebted "gambling addict" are staggering and of cause for concern.
