FiReSPORTS unveil 15k capacity arena for Buenos Aires Major playoffs

The first Major of 2027 begins to take shape.

With the IEM Cologne Major now behind us and the PGL Major Singapore looming on the horizon, FiReESPORTS have announced some early details for the first Major of 2027, which will run from May 31st to June 20th.

Taking place in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, the event will feature two venues: the Usina del Arte ("Arts Powerhouse" in English) for Stages 1, 2, and 3, as well as the Movistar Arena for the playoffs.

Located just a couple of miles from the heart of downtown, the Movistar Arena is the second-largest indoor arena in all of Argentina. It is a consistent host to some of the world's biggest stars and one of the most modern arenas in the country. With a seating capacity of roughly fifteen thousand in one of South America's largest cities, the crowd is sure to be Major-worthy.

As for the pre-playoffs venue, the Usina del Arte is a local cultural center, also located not far from the center of downtown. While FiReSPORTS did not specify which stages, if any, would have a crowd, the venue does have an auditorium with a capacity of about 1,200 and a chamber hall that holds 280.

With the crowd and atmosphere being one of the most important parts of any CS event, especially a Major, it's incredibly exciting to learn where another of Counter-Strike's most important events will take place.
