FiReSPORTS will host their first Major in 2027

Media: First Major of 2027 to be held in Argentina

This would be the South American nation's first Major.

The first Major in 2027 is set to be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and hosted by FiReSPORTS, according to a report from HLTV. Argentina will be the 14th unique country to host a Counter-Strike Major. It will also be the first Major to be held in South America since the IEM Rio Major in 2022.

HLTV also reached out to FiReSPORTS CEO Rodrigo Figueroa Reyes, who confirmed the report, stating, "We are going to give it our all to make this a great Major."

The FiReSPORTS Major will be begin on May 31st and run until June 20th. Reyes further said, "Fans will be delighted to come to a city like Buenos Aires, a city that blends European and Latin American influences, where they will be surprised by the passion of Counter-Strike fans in Argentina."

HLTV also received a report that the second Major of 2027 will be held by Perfect World in Shanghai, China. This will be Perfect World's second Major, as they also hosted the second Major of 2024 in Shanghai, which was the first Major held in Asia.

The Shanghai 2027 Major will be the third Asian Valve-backed tournament, as the second Major of 2026 is set to be hosted in Singapore by PGL.
