mahone joins NiP as analyst

The Canadian will look to help the famed organization return to their former glory.

Former Prospects player and The Gaming Stadium coach Danny "mahone" Hsieh has joined NiP as their analyst, the organization announced yesterday.

In his new role, mahone will assist coach Björn "THREAT" Pers, who the Swedish organization announced has signed a new three-year deal.

As a player, mahone was part of an iteration of Josh "JoshRT" Lee's Prospects for around four months, participating in MDL Season 28, and also helping them advance to the ZOTAC Cup Masters 2018 Closed Qualifier. However, he did not play in the latter event, as he decided to retire from competitive play.

With The Gaming Stadium, he coached the team at Fragadelphia 13, where they finished in 7-8th, during ESEA Intermediate Season 32, where they finished third to earn promotion to Main, and played for them in the Canadian WESG 2019 qualifiers.

Around a year ago, he started consistently putting out content on YouTube analyzing plays and strats, gaining a following and also catching the eyes of luminaries such as Henry "HenryG" Greer, James Bardolph, Mohan "launders" Govindasamy, and Joshua "steel" Nissan.

NiP are currently participating in IEM Beijing-Haidian, where they will next face ENCE or BIG after a loss to Heroic. Following that, the next events for the team will be BLAST Premier Fall 2020 Showdown and ESL Pro League Season 13.
