WolfY's search for a new team concluded quite quickly

ex-Wildcard reform as BOSS; add former M80 AWPer

BOSS are back up to full strength after SLIGHT stayed on with Wildcard's new project.

After being dropped by Wildcard in a shock move on November 9th, ex-Wildcard have reformed with the addition of Adam "WolfY" Andersson to take over the vacancy left by the Keller "SLIGHT" Nilan on the team. Additionally, ex-Wildcard have donned a new coat of paint and will play as BOSS moving forward.

ex-Wildcard were left reeling after being hit with the sudden announcement that Wildcard was set to drop the quartet and formulate a new team around the Forsaken core. Despite this gut punch, ex-Wildcard were committed to staying together, as the squad are one of the region's best domestic teams. Notably, the team currently have a 7-0 record in ESL Challenger League Season 46, and look set to make playoffs.

BOSS' first outing without a roof came during the ESL Challenger Atlanta Open Qualifier, where the team played with David "J0LZ" Jolin as a stand-in. However, the team seemingly care to the realization they needed a primary AWPer to replace SLIGHT. Fortunately for BOSS, around the same time they were dropped, WolfY also found himself on the outs at M80, being replaced by German AWPer Fritz "slaxz-" Dietrich.

Joining BOSS came naturally to WolfY the Swedish-American told Dust2.us, saying he loves the game and didn't want to "fade away" after making the decision to return to North America back in May. He noted that he is set to return to Sweden for the holidays on December 20th, whereupon he will assess his future options, however this will be more than enough time for BOSS to complete their obligations before the player break.

BOSS are now:

  • United States Matthew "Cryptic" Whitmore

  • Canada Adam "freshie" Paterson

  • United States Brett "brett" Rhein

  • United States Matthew "d4rty" Paplawskas

  • United States Adam "WolfY" Andersson

BOSS will make their debut tonight against Take Flyte at 08:00PM, where they will look to extend their perfect season in ECL.
