FaZe dismantle Cloud9, to playoffs
The final game of the group stage at the ECS Season 4 Finals was the Group B decider between FaZe and Cloud9. Will "RUSH" Wierzba kicked off Cloud9's pick of Mirage with a huge pistol round, but a classic FaZe force-buy along with a quadruple kill by Håvard "rain" Nygaard reset the American side. The Norwegian led his team to an early 8-2 lead until C9 found a break in the defense.
The Americans could only find two Terrorist rounds before falling to FaZe again however. Tarik "tarik" Celik was unable to lead his squad to anything more in the first half, ending Cloud9's T side 4-11.
RUSH chimed in again, as Cloud9 began their Mirage comeback with the first three rounds of the second half. Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer shuts down the hopes of C9 though, as FaZe took round 19 and secured 14 rounds. Cloud9 couldn't get anything done in the end as olofmeister got six more frags and closed out Mirage 16-8.
FaZe began their map pick with a triple kill by Nikola "NiKo" Kovač which led to a three round lead. Cloud9 took the first gun round, and off of a huge 1-on-4 clutch by RUSH they converted it. Jake "Stewie2K" Yip helped to tie the game, but olofmeister brought the momentum back to FaZe as the European side extended their lead.
Stewie2K again allowed Cloud9 a round win, but the American were reset immediately with little hope left in the half. NiKo and rain locked down the rest of their CT side, ending the half with an 11-4 score.
Cloud9 kicked off the second half with their third pistol round win of the series, and despite the efforts of NiKo they secured the following two rounds as well. FaZe secured the first gun round, but RUSH stepped up again and limited the European side to only two in the half. The final rounds of the game were back and forth, featuring plays by Stewie2K and NiKo until FaZe finally finished out the map 16-11 and the series 2-0.

FaZe now move on to the playoffs where they will face off against Fnatic tomorrow in a best of three semifinal. The winner will then move on to face the winner of Astralis vs mousesports in the Grand Final of the ECS Season 4 Finals.
