Can Skadoodle take down a European superteam for a second time?

Skadoodle joins Team USA for Dallas showmatch

Fans in Dallas are in for a treat.

Announced in a short skit during the halftime of Heroic vs. G2, Tres "stunna" Saranthus announced to Janko "YNk" Paunović and the world that former Cloud9 player and ELEAGUE Boston Major winning Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham will be suiting up for Team USA in the Dallas showmatch.

The last time that Skadoodle actually played in any sort of match was in last year's edition of the Mustache Masters, an online charity Counter-Strike event. The AWPer was playing with a few of the former Evil Geniuses players, including former teammate Will "RUSH" Wierzba, as they ended up taking second place to ATK.

Before that, Skadoodle played in a few ESEA Cash Cups and similar events, with no serious competitive nature in them. However, his true, last competitive event under an organization was in November 2018, nine months removed from winning the Major, where he finished out ESL Pro League Season 8 with Cloud9.

Now, the much-heralded player will be gracing the stage once more as a part of Team USA. The announcement does come off the heels of Complexity being the last North American team to be eliminated from the hometown event, but it does give fans at least one reason to make it into the arena this upcoming weekend.

With more players coming, fans will hopefully see some legendary players as CS:GO is in its twilight ahead of the arrival of Counter-Strike 2 this summer.

Update: Since this announcement, ESL has announced Owen "smooya" Butterfield as the first member of team universe.
