degster enters free agency ahead of 2025 shuffle
Russian AWPer Abdulkhalik "degster" Gasanov has entered free agency today, with the PGL Bucharest MVP exiting Falcons after eight months on the Saudi organization's bench. degster was placed on Falcons' bench ahead of their much-publicized signing of Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov in April 2025, with Falcons shelling out major cash to reunite m0NESY with Nikola "NiKo" Kovač.
This signing along with the later signing of Maksim "kyousuke" Lukin was intended to create a superteam on Falcons that could dominate world Counter-Strike. However, to date Falcons' sole title came with degster dropping an MVP-level performance at PGL Bucharest 2025, besting G2 in the grand finals before benched shortly thereafter.
This leaves degster in an interesting position as he has largely been for the majority of the year while having a potential ceiling that might highly intriguing to a number of teams ahead of the 2026 season. With rostermania kicking off this week, it remains to be seen where degster will land now that he is ready to consider offers from teams.
