$7,500 SiGMA Esports Cup heads to Toronto

The all-American tournament will take place at the SiGMA Americas iGaming Conference in June.

GMR have announced the details of their next CS:GO tournament hosted in partnership with SiGMA and EBET. The four-team LAN event will be taking place on June 7th and 8th at the Enercare Centre in Toronto, playing host to a $7,500 prize pool.

The four teams confirmed to be venturing north into the Maple homeland are Davenport Panthers, The Jungle, ONET4P, and Valors. There, they will juke it out in the two-day event for a chance at the $5,000 first-place prize, with the remaining $2,500 going to the runners-up.

The format remains unchanged from the previous SiGMA Cup, which took place in Dubai in March, with the four teams playing a BO1 round-robin seeding stage during the first day. The second day of competition will then played out in a BO3 single-elimination brackets, seeded based on the first day.

On top of the prize money on offer, the teams will also be competing for a qualification slot to the SiGMA circuit finals event, hosted in Malta, in November. There they will be joined by the winners of the previous two cups, hosted at the Dubai and Malta SiGMA conferences.

The two favorites going into the event will be ONET4P, who recently acquired Logan "Voltage" Long from The Pond, and Davenport Panthers, who currently sit joint-forth in ESEA Advanced with a comfortable record of 7-2; sitting close behind in Advanced are also Valors with a 6-2 record. The Jungle also sit joint-first in ESEA Main currently with a 9-0 record.

The detailed schedule and matches will be released closer to the event dates.
