Maluk3's men took down FalleN's Imperial squad to reach the closed qualifier

FURIA invited to Valencia; GODSENT and oNe round out closed qualifier

Brazilian squads now make up three of the four participating teams in the NA qualifier.

The second open qualifier the ESL Challenger Valencia has wrapped up, seeing GODSENT and oNe claim the two remaining spots in the closed qualifier for the Spanish event. The two squads will be joined by ATK, who came from the first open qualifier, and paiN, who were invited to the closed qualifier.

Initially, only one team was to receive a spot in the closed qualifier through this second open qualifier. However, FURIA, who was originally invited to the closed qualifier, has been promoted to the main event, freeing up another spot in the closed qualifier. This resulted in two closed qualifier spots being allocated to the second open qualifier.

Day one of the second open qualifier saw most of the favorites succeed with little resistance. Squads such as Party Astronauts, Gaimin Gladiators, oNe, and GODSENT all made their way to the second day without any major roadblocks. Imperial, fresh off their time in Antwerp for the Major, very nearly missed out on the second day despite being the favorite team to move on, with the squad only barely edging out rust-eez in double overtime.

Other notable results of the first day include BHOP being eliminated by ONET4P, and Northern Forces taking out INFINITY, who were utilizing Edgar "MarKE" Maldonado in lieu of Joel "tor1towOw" Rios Manrique.

GODSENT continued their winning ways on day two, trouncing Davenport University, while oNe barely edged out Gaimin Gladiators. These two squads were joined in the finals by Party Astronauts and Imperial, who beat ONET4P and Northern Forces, respectively.

GODSENT squared off against Party Astronauts, with the first halves of both maps being fairly close before GODSENT took charge in the second halves. Eduardo "dumau" Wolkmer played a crucial role in pushing GODSENT to victory, posting a stellar 1.70 series rating to shut down the American side.

Alencar "trk" Rosatto was key in his squad's victory over his former MIBR teammates, averaging a 1.26 series rating to help oNe move past Imperial 2-0.
