Omega disband after disappointing start to ESEA Advanced

The quintet have opted to go their separate ways after just six games into the season.

Omega have disbanded just six games into ESEA Advanced Season 41. This news comes after the squad suffered their fourth defeat in six games after losing 16-9 to Eros a few days ago.

As previously mentioned, Omega's start to their ESEA Advanced campaign was rather lackluster, seeing the side suffer four defeats in quick succession with their two victories being versus REIGN and Millennium 7. The roster failed to make many deep runs outside of league play as well, with their best effort being a fifth-round exit of the first IEM Dallas open qualifier where the squad were sent home after a 16-3 defeat to Andrew "VulcaN" Dominguez's Imperial roster.

The squad also suffered from an inability to finalize their roster following the departure of Jason "gir" Fox in late March. This saw the lineup bring on Noah "flixxy" French, who soon exited the roster to link up with X13, before then recruiting the services of Liam "xCAPE" Redmond who was briefly with the roster up until its sudden demise.

When contacted by Dust2.us, Muhammad "Mellow" Ali explained that the reason for the split was a combination of burnout due to an intense practice schedule and the disappointing results in the server. The 20-year-old then went on to say that with Bradley "LukeK" Walker electing to step down, alongside xCAPE's persistent internet-related issues, it made sense for the roster to seek out other opportunities.

LukeK echoed the statements made by Mellow whilst also adding that he will be taking a break for the remainder of the season.

Omega were:

  • Bradley "LukeK" Walker

  • Muhammad "Mellow" Ali

  • Talen "Talen" M.

  • Jake "zebra" Davis

  • Liam "xCAPE" Redmond

  • Sean "Coastal" Thompson (Coach)

Mellow also told Dust2.us that he, Talen "Talen" M., and Jake "zebra" Davis will be pugging out the rest of the season, with their next game scheduled to be against DYLOO on May 22nd at 09:00PM.
